About the EU Office

The primary mission of the EU Office at the University of Copenhagen is to support the researchers on funding from EU's 7th Framework Programme (FP7).

The EU Office supports all phases in a project lifecycle. We participate in the preparation of a project idea, screening of project related to the working programmes of FP7, and lobbying to establish or modify a call. During the project, the EU Office will provide general support to the administrative aspects, assist on communications with the EU or coordinators, and advising on rules regarding the Framework Programmes.

Application

During the drafting of applications, the EU Office gives administrative support, and acts as a partner on non-technical issues.

Negotiation of contract

The EU Office are also involved in contract negotiations, negotiating consortium agreements and the perusal of Annex I to ensure the University of Copenhagen publication rights and IPR.

Bonus

The major projects that retrieves a single authorization from the Commission (requested contribution) to the University of Copenhagen of more than 150,000 € are awarded a bonus as a recognition. When commitment from the Commission are available the signed Grant Agreement and Annex I must be sent to Liaison Officer Søren Haslund or Senior Liaison Officer Harry Havskum.

Lobbying

Being active in defining and framing the future work programmes of the EU Framework Programmes becomes still more important. The University of Copenhagen has therefore in cooperation with the Technical University of Denmark and the Capital Region of Denmark established a research office in Bruxelles.
